However since the Zen bit the dust after a fight with a power adapter in my work bag I have had to return to the E71 and that awful hissing. I already had a pair of Sennheiser CX400 and the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter but with the tweaking of the settings I am a happy chap. Now I don't know if I will bother with an iPod Touch 4G now...no your right I probably will!

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

Hi.
Is it possible to 'forward' a received message on to a previously created 'group' with say, twenty members on the E71 ?

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

Get the e72

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

Hi,
well, that was what i too was expecting from my e71.but to be a business phone i never knew that nokia must be depriving e71 users by removing some very user friendly features like the next song previous song option in the control device of he head set.very lowtech in this department.
similarly this device should have usb charging facility like the hp iphones have.

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

I am using nokia e71 and i have problem like this; when i use music player through earbuds(that are given by the phone) i can not manage the player i mean i can not change the song by using the controller on the earbuds.

some say that this is usual for e71 but i am not sure and satisfied.

is there anyway to solve this problem????? or is it really normal?

please help..

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

how do i transfer phone nos. from my memory card to phone memory

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

The standard music player on my E71 sounds like a karaoke machine in a bathroom. I pulled the headset out a bit and voila, STEREO. So you guys are saying that the 2 ring adapter will work better in my E-71? Will order and see. Thanks for all the good advices.

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

As a sidenote, I have also tried 2 different bluetooth receivers where you can use your own headphones as well. Having a few feet of extra headphone cord to go to the reciever dangling off of your neck? Might as well plug it into the phone. Of course you could clip the receiver to your hip, but, then again if you got a call you'd have to unclip it and bring it up to your mouth in order to talk. Not practical while doing activities. Also, having to charge an additional item all of the time didn't suit my needs. Being able to listen to my music without bluetooth drawing on my battery was a plus. I go on very long bike rides, so, every little bit of battery I can save is a good thing, not to mention being able to answer my calls without having to stop what I am doing. If anyone is wondering, there is no hiss doing the HS-47 mod that many have mentioned when using certain adapters. Sure, you'll have to sacrifice a pair of earbuds/headphones to do the mod and use them only for your E71, but, for me the mod was well worth the time and effort. I got my E71 sounding so nice I stopped using my other mp3 player altogether anyway. Sorry for the long post. Hope it helps someone :-)

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

I have tried many different ways to maximize the sound from my E71. I have tried a few different stereo bluetooths to no avail (Jabra, Motorola, Cardo) All of them lacked volume, bass and range. Phone in my pocket while riding bike, all of them would have an intermitent signal.

As for using an adapter. I could use my own headphones, but, having to pull the phone out of pocket to get close to the mic to speak kind of defeated the purpose to me.

What has worked best for me is an original HS-47 that I modified. In my opinion, the original earbuds sound horrid. With a little work, I replaced them with my own earbuds. The result is that I can use my own earbuds without an adapter and no need to pull out the phone to speak, increased volume and gobs of bass.

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

Hi,

I use Bluetooth headphones Motorola S9 (http://direct.motorola.com/...
and its sound great

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

Yeah, it asked, it's either headphones, headset or music stand. I mean, what happens when you receive a call? You have to switch off the music, unplug the headset and take the call, right? :(

Re: E71 & Sound: Make Your Music Sound Better With These Tips

Yeah I bought the seinheiser headphones that Mr. Tehk recommended.
