My coworker has same phone, but his battery is ok in the office. He said he upgraded his firmware and it runs better. Is it possible the firmware may fix my issue.

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

got the E71 for some time. the battery is drain fast while using it in the car connected via Bluetooth. last for 1 day top!!!
Samsung is leading with energy use. last for 4-5 days!!!
the E71 loose its operation system many times. very slow proccessor! react very slow to keys action. keys are for midgets!!! in short, not a real deal, on the other hand...which is a real deal?

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

hold down on the house icon

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

Just wondering is it harmful to leave the charger on overnight even though the battery has fully charged?
And is it ok to charge the E71 daily even if it is still say 70% charged or should you let the battery run right down occasionally?
thanks heaps
Andrew

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

A lot of these suggestions are basically saying that in able to make the battery last, turn off all the features that make it a smart-phone?

We all know that if all you want to do is make calls and send texts a 3210 will last for a week or month...

Pretty disappointed with the battery life of my e71, I returned it and it is claimed it was a faulty battery, hopefully that's true and the new one will give a decent life. A big part of it is where you are located and if you get a strong 3g signal constantly. If you don't get a good signal then your phone is always working hard to hang onto that signal. That will easily suck the life out of your battery.

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

I got nokia e71 8 days ago. After few times recharging battery I have noticed: I use 3G network, light sensor 50%, power saver time out 35 seconds, light time out 25 seconds. I usually have about 20 min talk time, 10-15 min using internet ( just surfing), wifi 5-10 min, gps 15 min or dont use it at all... I send about 30 sms ( 2 days). My battery life is 1.5 day :( I also noticed that I was unreachable when I was using web browsing, I just receive sms that I have missed call...

I try to update my software but It says that I have latest software edition for my e71..

I noticed that usually battery life with normal using and using more than I do is around 2-3 days :(

Should I ask for new phone or go to authorized service( but why should I, phone is new)???

What I should do?

Thank you very much...

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

Hey Skvora! I've installed Garmin XT and I learned that it is a battery killer. It runs a hidden process called tsrautostart even if you don't use the GPS which causes significant battery drain.

To kill this process you can use a genuine tool called Jbak TaskMan. It's a free task manager for Symbian.

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

your = possessive: your battery
you're = conjunction of "you are": when you're not using them

- your friendly grammar nazi

Re: E71 Battery Tips: Get The Most Out Of Your Day

Forgot one- buy Mugen power 3600mah battery and forget ALL tips above :D
