APril and others who support Nimbuz must note that Nimbuzz does not let you log into more than one account of a particular service.
e.g. you have avril101 and avril202 accounts which are both on google talk then you can only log into any one of these two at a time!
that is a severe handicap i must say
same is the case with lets say two facebook accounts...
you can only log into one at a time
And come on PEOPLE HAVE MORE THAN ONE ACCOUNT TO ACCESS
and they need to access them... its ridiculous to suggest logging out and then logging in again with a different id and password again...
The same is the case with fring!
The need of the hour is a software which gives this feature to the users.
Any suggestions from anyone?

Palringo in that sense lets you access 'n' number of accounts belonging to same service! There is no intereference. Hence One can log into more than one facebook account at a time. However, palringo's biggest problem is that it keeps giving the message asking me to choose which way to connect to internet and I have to kkeep selecting ... it is damn irritating!
When I get a call and the GPRS is temporarily off (while I am talking) the message keeps popping again and again... and i have to keep on pressing cancel....
Also these days, I am facing problem with accessing google talk using palringo.
It just keeps saying " logging in" and is perennially stuck in that condition.
It just does not connect to google talk!

Does any one have a recommendation?
Or a counter reply maybe?!

There is a bug in the current version of Nimbuzz. To update your IM contacts you have to unsubscribe and then resubscribe to each IM client within Nimbuzz. Its easier to do that on the PC version obviously. Apart from that Nimbuzz continues to be the very best app I have on my phone and deserves all the awards its already received.

I used nimbuzz but for some reason for facebook chat, not all of my contacts load, don't know why and was using ebuddy, but for some reason everytime i sign in i have change my fb password.

It also depends on your requirements. Some require creating an account on external proxy service (like ebuddy). Talkonaut supports direct connections, which is preferable if you run a custom jabber server, for example.

I was using Fring, but downloaded Nimbuzz after reading this post. Fring's been pretty unstable for me lately, shutting down on it's own in the middle of a chat conversation. Skype voice quality was good though.

My problem is that I can't get Nimbuzz to log in to my Skype account. When I try logging in I get the error message "Oops. We are not able to sign you in to Skype. Please try again later while we look into it." When I check the settings>accounts it says "Currently no capacity available." Anyone who can help with this please?

Haven't tried Nimbuzz and Palringo but I would definitely pick e-buddy over Fring for both my E71 and iPod Touch

The Nimbuzz mobile app, is really well designed.

Their desktop app is still buggy with dual sound cards, but you can use it where SIP is blocked, probably because the desktop client uses a SIP proxy.

However, the Nimbuzz mobile app doesn't bypass SIP blocking.

Perfect timing. I'm sick of the "official" MSN client as it will only work over 3G. I travel overseas a lot and although I can get wifi everywhere in SE Asia, I can't use MSN over it. I tried AgileMessenger (a beta version) which is incredibly unstable but the only free app I could find via Google.

Ok.

first of all, love this site almost as much as I love my E71.

Here is my setup regarding Facebook.

So now I use:
*Nimbuzz for chat, works well with Facebook.
*ShoZu for posts and photos to Facebook.
*FlyScreen to quickly update my Facebook status and view others.
*emoze for getting Facebook inbox to my phone standard inbox.

Quite a mess for me actually.
Is there anyone thinking of merging all these or do i miss something

i am currently using Palringo and it works perfectly well! it has everything i need. Plus the convenience of using voice chat. sending images from your files or a quick camera shot is a breeze.

I just want to add:

None of them support MSN/WLM's new feature: Multiple Points of Presence.

Essentially once I login on the mobile phone my home computer's (on 24/7/365) WLM client gets logged off. I don't want that!

Actually, the problem could be related to just Yahoo only. They have changed the authentication system and requirements and will not allow the IM connection through, unless you login into the mail interface and give the extra information needed.

I'm surprised noone mentioned Talkonaut (http://www.talkonaut.com). After struggling with Fring for a while, I switched to Talkonaut and I'm a happy user since. It supports ICQ, MSN, Jabber, and some other networks I don't use. I wish it had Skype support, but it doesn't. You don't need to register anywhere (use your gtalk account). It's got a clean nice interface that fits a lot of characters in chat space, and it has tons of settings to tweak it to your liking.

Fring is the best for me. Its easy to use. I only wish the voice call facility was better so i can skype wit my friends while on my bed.
Nimbuzz is ok but i feel its a bit bloated.
Ebuddy does not have voice
